I wanted to add a section on my blog to my Keto journey and favourite recipes that I love. I am not a doctor or an expert but just simply a woman that has found a diet that works for me!

Let me give you a little background…I have struggled with my weight my entire adult life. Most notibly from having kids. With my daughter I gained 100 lbs. That sounds outrageous doesn’t it? I ate everything and anything I wanted! I remember eating McDonald’s almost everyday. No wonder I gained and gained. After she was born I was able to lose a lot of what I had put on. When I was pregnant with my son a few years later I ended up gaining 95 lbs! It was a lot harder for me to lose that weight after he was born. 9 years later, I am still going up and down in my weight. I have tried so many different diets.

I read about Keto online and started following others. I didn’t know if it was something I could be successful at but I thought I’d give it a try. Couldn’t hurt right? I started Keto in September 2018. It was hard at first. I mean really hard. I love junk food. Chips and chocolate are my weakness. I was determined to not cheat and follow Keto strictly. Since September I have lost approximately 43 lbs! I am almost at the healthy weight for my height. I feel amazing. Not only because I am slimmer, but my gut health has been the best I’ve had in years.

I plan on sharing where I shop because living in a small town can make it difficult to find certain ingredients. I will share links to recipes I have found so that you can enjoy them too!
